Hail in West Chester, PA-picture courtesy of twimh
Wow! What a day! For those who didn’t make the reunion, if we weren’t being pelted with hail the size of grapes, we were being drenched with pouring rains and high winds. Route 100 into West Chester was completely covered with ice. An SUV flipped on its roof on Rt 3. A lake was covered with floating ice from the hail.
We had an abbreviated Reunion anyway since so many were at the site already. It was fun to see everyone again after another year. It’s always fun to see all the kids-although we could have done without the party horns! The youngest at the Reunion was a mere 3 weeks old! It was wonderful that Bill Waltz, my father, was able to make it even after a mild stroke a couple weeks ago. His brother, Bob, also comes every year, thanks to his son, Michael, even though Bob’s eyesight is failing from macular degeneration. My sister, Kathy Red & her husband Doug, were here from China. My crew included Bob, who brought the Golden Retriever, Boomer, and son, Mike and his girlfriend, Cait, (both ‘08 Penn State grads).
The traditions continue on with the next generation. So how did you all feel about this year’s reunion? Let us know on the blog!
